Job Overview:
The position of Online Volunteer for the Sustainable Energy Academy involves enhancing the animation of a 3-minute introductory video that communicates the purpose, impact, and key messages of the Academy. The volunteer will be responsible for refining motion graphics, improving transitions, and ensuring visual consistency to align with the branding of the Sustainable Energy Hub. This role requires the use of design tools such as Adobe After Effects and Illustrator to review and enhance existing animations based on provided guidance and feedback. The Sustainable Energy Academy aims to create a significant impact by offering tailored capacity-building programs and fostering a global community of experts and practitioners in energy as a driver for development. Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Online Volunteer include:
  • Assessing the existing introductory video for the Sustainable Energy Academy to identify areas that require improvement in terms of animation quality, narrative flow, and overall visual presentation.
  • Refining motion graphics, which includes enhancing animations, transitions, and visual elements to improve clarity and engagement while ensuring brand consistency with the Sustainable Energy Hub and SEA guidelines.
  • Incorporating feedback from stakeholders to ensure that the final animation meets the expectations of the Sustainable Energy Hub, maintaining a cohesive visual identity and ensuring smooth animation flow.
  • Collaborating with the Sustainable Energy Hub team to align the animation with the Academy's mission and objectives, ensuring that the final product effectively communicates the intended messages.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and other related design tools.
  • Strong understanding of motion graphics and animation principles.
  • Ability to assess and critique visual content effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to incorporate feedback and collaborate with team members.
  • A passion for sustainable energy and development, with an understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Educational Background:
