Job Overview:
The Resource Mobilization and Partnerships Officer position is based in the UNFPA regional office in Bangkok, Thailand. This role is crucial in contributing to the regional office's efforts to diversify its partner base and support country offices in implementing their partnership plans. The officer will report to the Regional Advisor on Resource Mobilization and Partnerships and will be responsible for developing and implementing the annual Resource Mobilization and partnerships workplan, ensuring compliance with corporate requirements, and providing support to country offices in engaging with private sector partners. The position also involves delivering training and webinars, sharing resource mobilization opportunities, and maintaining relationships with media, partners, and donors.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Resource Mobilization and Partnerships Officer include supporting the development and implementation of the annual Resource Mobilization and partnerships workplan, reviewing donor agreements and reports for quality assurance, providing support to country offices on private sector engagement, delivering trainings and webinars, sharing resource mobilization opportunities, ensuring compliance with UNFPA rules and regulations, establishing and maintaining relationships with media and partners, and participating in planning events and visits. Additionally, the officer is expected to integrate the UN Volunteers programme mandate within their assignment and promote voluntary action through community engagement.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must demonstrate professionalism, integrity, teamwork, planning and organizing skills, effective communication, and flexibility. They should possess technical capabilities relevant to UNFPA procedures and rules, discretion, political sensitivity, and the ability to liaise with various actors. The role requires a high degree of autonomy, personal initiative, and the ability to manage information confidentially and objectively. Candidates should also have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multicultural environment, respecting diversity and promoting gender equality.

Educational Background:
A relevant educational background is required for this position, typically including a degree in international relations, public health, social sciences, or a related field. Advanced degrees may be preferred, depending on the specific requirements of the role and the level of responsibility involved.

Experience:
Candidates should have a proven track record of experience in resource mobilization, partnerships, or related fields, ideally within the context of international organizations or NGOs. Experience in engaging with private sector partners and familiarity with donor processes and compliance requirements are highly desirable. The role may require several years of relevant experience, demonstrating the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as it is the working language of UNFPA. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly those relevant to the Asia-Pacific region, would be considered an asset and beneficial for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
