Job Overview:
The Pricing Agent will play a crucial role in conducting a place-to-place survey, which involves collecting price data from retail outlets frequented by UN staff members. This survey is essential for maintaining updated pricing information and is conducted every three to five years in various locations. The Pricing Agent will work under the direct supervision of the Survey Coordinator and will be responsible for reviewing survey documents, developing a strategic data collection plan, and ensuring that the collected price data is accurate and comprehensive. The role requires a keen understanding of local market conditions and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Pricing Agent's duties include reviewing all relevant documents and instructions prior to the survey, assessing the availability of items to be priced in the local market, and documenting any variances. The agent will develop a strategic plan for data collection, ensuring that prices are collected from approved outlets and conform to item specifications. The agent must record price data accurately in the Pricing Agent Pricing Book and complete the Pricing Agent Questionnaire regarding market conditions. Additionally, the agent will submit all pricing documents to the Survey Coordinator and remain available for any queries related to the pricing data collection process.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a university degree in Marketing, Market Research, Administration, or a related field being desirable. Experience in conducting place-to-place surveys or pricing surveys is required, along with international shopping experience and knowledge of the local market. Familiarity with statistics, economics, project management, auditing, accounting, or finance is considered an asset.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a high school diploma as a minimum qualification. A university degree in relevant fields such as Marketing, Market Research, or Administration is preferred, indicating a higher level of understanding and expertise in the areas pertinent to the role.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have experience in conducting place-to-place surveys or similar pricing surveys.
