Job Overview: The Consultant for Monitoring, Reporting, and Quality Assurance will play a crucial role in strengthening Results Based Management within the organization. The position entails delivering high-quality analyses and written outputs, improving monitoring and evaluation guidelines, and ensuring systematic monitoring of project data. The consultant will be responsible for compiling and categorizing project data, supporting independent evaluations, and ensuring timely submission of results-based reports. The role also involves developing communication and visibility products to enhance the visibility of CEB achievements and support fundraising efforts. The consultant will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that the objectives of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) are effectively implemented and communicated.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Consultant include:
Delivering high-quality analyses and written outputs for various documents such as concept notes, proposals, and strategic/programme documents.
Improving monitoring and evaluation guidelines and tools.
Providing guidance and training on pre- and post-training assessments.
Elaborating on guidance for improving CATS and providing it to ITS.
Enhancing CEB’s financial monitoring dashboards.
Compiling, revising, and systematically storing CEB project data.
Categorizing and analyzing project data for reporting and strategic decision-making.
Supporting independent project evaluations and coordinating follow-up actions.
Ensuring that global programme reports meet results-based standards and are submitted on time. 1
Submitting monthly reports on the progress of work assignments to the supervisor. 1
Developing communication and visibility products to highlight CEB achievements. 1
Ensuring donor reports meet results-based standards and are submitted timely. 1
Supporting donor/steering committee meetings and developing appealing fundraising proposals.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for this position include an advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in law, economics, criminology, journalism, or social sciences such as international relations, management, public administration, political science, or social anthropology. Alternatively, a first-level university degree in similar fields combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. Additionally, ten years of working experience in project management, outreach, donor reporting, and resource mobilization is required, along with experience in monitoring and reporting. Candidates should have sound experience in drafting results-based project reports for donors and other purposes, and experience at the international level and in developing countries is desirable. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, including power query and macros, is also desirable.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in relevant fields such as law, economics, criminology, journalism, or social sciences. A first-level university degree in similar fields may be accepted if combined with additional qualifying experience. This educational background is essential to ensure that the consultant has the necessary theoretical knowledge and analytical skills to perform the job effectively.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of ten years of working experience in areas related to project management, outreach, donor reporting, and resource mobilization.
