Job Overview:
The Board of Inquiry Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Board of Inquiry (BOI) within the UN mission. This position involves a variety of administrative and secretarial tasks that are essential for the smooth functioning of the BOI. The assistant will be responsible for drafting documents, coordinating information, and maintaining official files. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Board of Inquiry Assistant will undertake a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: drafting all outgoing documents and correspondence relevant to the BOI; coordinating the provision of required information and documentation; processing incoming documents and ensuring their completeness; maintaining official files for the BOI unit; providing secretarial support during BOI proceedings, which includes setting up briefings, advising on UN rules, arranging witness interviews, preparing notes during visits, and drafting reports for review; compiling cases for submission to the Chief of Staff and Head of Mission; assisting the BOI Officer in following up on the implementation of BOI recommendations; and performing any other duties as required. This comprehensive set of responsibilities ensures that the BOI can operate efficiently and effectively.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, a technical or vocational certificate in paralegal or related studies is desirable. The position requires familiarity with administrative, budgetary, financial, and human resources policies and procedures, as well as the ability to apply various UN administrative rules and regulations in work situations. Professionalism, effective communication skills, and strong planning and organizing abilities are essential for success in this role.

Educational Background:
The minimum educational requirement for this position is a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience:
