Job Overview:
The Somali Language Trainer position is designed to deliver a comprehensive Somali language program aimed at enhancing the language skills of UNSOS and UNSOM personnel. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Somali Language Trainer will undertake several key responsibilities, including:
  • Pre-training: Develop a comprehensive six-month Somali language training manual and curriculum tailored for UNSOM/UNSOS, including detailed methodologies, timeframes, and deliverables.
  • Conduct meetings with the Head of IMTC to discuss and refine the training methodology and ensure alignment with organizational requirements.
  • During training: Facilitate and coordinate training sessions using interactive and experiential learning methods, recap daily lessons, and encourage diverse perspectives among learners.
  • Post-training: Compile a thorough training report that includes progress assessments, evaluations of individual participants, overall training evaluations, key findings, and recommendations for future training improvements.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of a diverse learner group.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must demonstrate professionalism, effective planning and organizing skills, and strong communication abilities.
