Candidates who have passed the United Nations Young Professionals Programme Examination (YPP) or the G to P Examination (G to P) are exempt from this experience requirement. Additionally, at least one year of experience in data analytics or a related area is required. Desirable experience includes preparing results-based budgets in a large international setting, summarizing and presenting information from large data sets, and providing direct support on budgetary issues to intergovernmental bodies. Experience in the design and enhancement of financial or budgetary models or information systems is also advantageous.
Languages: Fluency in English is required for this position, as English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is considered an advantage, enhancing communication and collaboration within the diverse international environment of the organization.
