Job Overview: As the Head of Marketing & Mobilization for the Movement Against Malnutrition, you will serve as the Chief Marketing & Mobilization Officer for this new initiative. Your role will involve leading all marketing efforts related to malnutrition across various markets. You will be a key member of both the Movement Against Malnutrition and IRC’s Marketing & Mobilization Department leadership teams. Your responsibilities will include managing a cross-functional team of marketers, collaborating with various internal and external partners, and developing a forward-thinking marketing strategy aimed at raising awareness and driving transformational change to combat child malnutrition. This position requires a blend of strategic vision and operational execution, as you will oversee creative content, brand communications, and digital engagement efforts while ensuring effective project management and campaign delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities: Your major responsibilities will include developing a global marketing strategy for the Movement Against Malnutrition, ensuring it aligns with IRC’s broader objectives. You will collaborate with the leadership teams to identify new opportunities for expansion and serve as a strategic advisor on marketing and communications. You will lead content development across various platforms, manage project timelines, and ensure high-quality campaign execution. Additionally, you will monitor campaign performance using analytics to optimize engagement and revenue growth, while also providing strategic support for communication planning and reporting metrics to inform growth strategies.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have 8-12+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, particularly within global health or humanitarian sectors. You should demonstrate a successful track record in leading teams, developing brand strategies, and launching integrated campaigns. Strong project management skills, leadership capabilities, and excellent communication skills are essential. A deep understanding of global cultural contexts and familiarity with international fundraising and communications markets will be advantageous.
Educational Background: Candidates should possess a relevant degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in these areas may be preferred, particularly for roles that require strategic oversight and leadership.
Experience: The position requires significant experience, ideally 8-12+ years, in marketing and communications, with a focus on global health or humanitarian efforts. Proven success in leading teams and managing complex projects is crucial, as is experience in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive engagement and revenue.
