Job Overview: The Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the provision of direct services to clients involved in the IRC Miami’s Immigrant Children’s Legal and Service Partnership (ICLASP) program. This role involves providing technical assistance and leadership to a casework team in Miami, as well as managing relationships with subcontractors. The Program Coordinator plays a crucial role in cultivating and maintaining community partnerships and resources under the ICLASP umbrella. The position requires a strong understanding of relevant regulations and policies, as well as the ability to represent IRC and ICLASP at community meetings and other external settings.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Program Coordinator's responsibilities include ensuring client success with a focus on empowerment through high-quality service, promoting strong inter-program relationships, and maintaining knowledge of regulations concerning ICLASP. The Coordinator will represent IRC at community meetings, build collaborative relationships with various agencies, and develop safety plans for clients. They will ensure program activities align with donor requirements, provide technical support to the case management team, and develop strategic community partnerships. The Coordinator will also monitor program budgets, provide wrap-around case management services, and oversee grant tracking and reporting. Additionally, they will ensure compliance with contractual requirements, manage data collection, and represent assigned programs with IRC HQ.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in social work, international affairs, or human services, with a graduate degree preferred. Relevant professional experience in providing direct services to unaccompanied children or immigrant youth populations is required, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience strongly preferred. Experience in immigration legal services is also preferred. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to promote an organizational culture reflecting IRC’s core values, handle complex cases, and work effectively with diverse clients. Strong relationship-building, diplomacy, and networking skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment. Candidates should be self-starters with excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree in social work, international affairs, or human services. A graduate degree is preferred, indicating a higher level of expertise and understanding of the complexities involved in the services provided to immigrant children and families.
Experience: The position requires a significant level of experience, specifically a minimum of 5 years in providing direct services related to unaccompanied children or immigrant youth populations.
