Job Overview:
The position of Corresponding Associate at CERN is designed for experienced scientists who are currently holding research or teaching positions. While at CERN, Corresponding Associates will be on a leave of absence from their home institutions and will continue to receive their normal salary from their respective institutes. To support their living expenses in the Geneva area, CERN provides a subsistence allowance. Duties and Responsibilities:

They must also maintain communication with their home institutions and ensure that their research aligns with CERN's objectives. Additionally, they are responsible for submitting a list of publications and obtaining three letters of recommendation to support their application.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for the Corresponding Associate position, candidates must be employed by an institute located in a CERN Member or Associate Member State, with the exception of France, Italy, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Candidates should possess a strong background in particle physics or a related field, demonstrating their capability to contribute effectively to CERN's research initiatives. A working knowledge of English or French is essential, as these are the primary languages used at CERN. The selection committee will prioritize candidates who are below the CERN retirement age.

Educational Background:

CERN offers a subsistence allowance of 4,366 Swiss Francs per month, net of tax, to assist with living costs in Geneva. Additionally, authorized absences are permitted if the contract lasts at least four months. Travel expenses may be reimbursed based on individual circumstances.
