Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Assistant will be responsible for archiving, organizing, and updating financial documents in both hard and soft formats. This includes scanning and filing all financial documents digitally, ensuring that all documents are properly labeled and stored. The role also involves managing the uploading of financial documents to Office 365, providing vouchers to auditors, and assisting accountants with the filing of monthly financial vouchers. Additionally, the Finance Assistant will maintain records for the long-term preservation of documents, assist with taxation matters, manage petty cash replenishment, issue cheque payments and bank transfers, and support the program team with training payments. The role may also include any other tasks assigned by the supervisor, emphasizing the need for flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a degree in Accounting and Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of three years of relevant experience in the humanitarian or development sector is required, preferably in an emergency context. Experience as a Support Function Officer in a humanitarian or recovery context is highly desirable, along with documented results related to the position's responsibilities. Candidates should also have some knowledge of English, which is essential for communication and reporting purposes.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a degree in Accounting and Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. This educational foundation is critical for understanding financial principles and practices necessary for the role of Finance Assistant.

Experience:
The position requires at least three years of relevant work experience in the humanitarian or development sector.
