Job Overview:
The Grants Officer will play a crucial role in supporting Relief International's grants management and donor liaison efforts. This position involves collaboration with the Regional Program Development Manager and the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director to maximize funding and technical support from institutional donors. The Grants Officer will be responsible for managing key donor relationships, writing proposals, concept notes, and reports in collaboration with field teams. Additionally, the role includes developing planning and reporting tools to ensure that projects comply with donor contractual requirements. Given the emergency nature of this role, candidates must already be based in Turkey and possess strong spoken and written Turkish skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Grants Officer's responsibilities include supporting program design and negotiating grants, overseeing the implementation of grants throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with programmatic, financial, and administrative requirements, and maintaining a tracking system for grants and implementation progress. The officer will work closely with both country-level and HQ finance and administration departments to ensure compliance and maintain effective communication regarding grants implementation. Other duties may include upholding RI's commitment to safeguarding vulnerable communities, contributing to the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse, and advocating for the inclusion of safeguarding activities within programs. The role may also involve additional tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a degree in a relevant field such as international development, disaster management, social science, finance, or business administration. Experience in administering grants within an international development program is essential, along with knowledge of USAID rules and regulations, grants administration, contracting, and procurement regulations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required, as well as fluency in written and spoken Turkish. Experience in a post-conflict environment is a plus, and strong time management skills with attention to detail are necessary. Proficiency in Arabic is considered an additional asset.

Educational Background:
A degree in a relevant field such as international development, disaster management, social science, finance, business administration, or a related discipline is required for this position. This educational background is essential to understand the complexities of grants management and the operational environment in which Relief International operates.

Experience:
Candidates should have experience in administering grants in an international development context. Familiarity with USAID rules and regulations, as well as grants administration and procurement regulations, is crucial. Experience working in post-conflict environments is advantageous, as it provides insight into the challenges faced in such settings.

Languages:
Fluency in written and spoken Turkish is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in Arabic is considered a bonus, enhancing communication capabilities within diverse communities and among stakeholders.
