Job Overview: The Administration Associate position is integral to the EU Central Asia Civil Society Facility project, which seeks to enhance the participation of Central Asian Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in regional dialogues. The role involves providing technical and administrative support services, ensuring efficient service delivery, and promoting a client-oriented approach. The incumbent will work under the guidance of the Senior Project Manager and will be responsible for logistics, asset management, and administrative operations. The position requires a proactive individual who can manage various tasks effectively while ensuring compliance with UNOPS regulations and policies. The Administration Associate will also play a key role in supporting the project team and ensuring that all operational activities are conducted smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the project.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Logistics and Asset Management Support: Provide operational support for project activities, manage logistics and asset management services, ensure compliance with UNOPS policies, and coordinate with local authorities for administrative matters. Supervise transportation services and manage the receipt of goods and equipment.
Transportation Services: Ensure all official transport needs are met, implement maintenance systems for office equipment, and assess contract services for improvement.
Knowledge Building and Sharing: Participate in training events for personnel, contribute to knowledge networks, and support knowledge sharing initiatives. The Administration Associate's effective performance will directly impact the efficiency of administrative services and client satisfaction, enhancing UNOPS' reputation as a reliable partner in sustainable development.
Required Qualifications: Completion of secondary school is required, with a First University (Bachelor) Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or equivalent disciplines being desirable but not mandatory. Administrative certification is considered an asset in the absence of a degree. Candidates must demonstrate a strong capacity to meet performance indicators and deliver results in administrative and operational roles.
Educational Background: A minimum of secondary school completion is required. A Bachelor's degree in relevant fields is desirable but not essential. Administrative certifications can be beneficial for candidates without a degree.
Experience: Candidates must have at least 4 years of administrative or operational experience in logistics and administration. This experience should demonstrate the ability to meet performance indicators and deliver results. Alternatively, 2 years of experience combined with a Bachelor's degree will be accepted. Languages: Full working knowledge of English and Russian is mandatory. Knowledge of a regional working language is considered an asset, enhancing communication and operational effectiveness within the project.
