Job Overview: The Humanitarian Access Security Manager (HASM) plays a crucial role within the regional program, reporting directly to the regional director and based in Nairobi, Kenya. This position is essential for supporting country managers and their teams in analyzing security conditions and anticipating potential impacts on humanitarian assistance delivery. The HASM will assess security conditions in areas such as Khartoum and Gedaref, where HI plans to implement activities directly. The role involves ensuring operational safety management, contributing to the development of security management systems, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team. Duties and Responsibilities: The HASM's duties and responsibilities include leading and managing the team by embodying HI's values, clarifying strategic objectives, and translating them into operational goals. The HASM will monitor local, national, and regional contexts, strengthening HI's acceptance and presence through relationships with key contacts and stakeholders. Repatriation insurance is covered by HI. The salary starts at 2,869 € gross per month, depending on experience, with a per diem of 619.50€ net per month while in the field. Employees are entitled to 25 days of paid leave per year, with rest and recuperation (R&R) days according to the mission level. The position is unaccompanied, and housing is provided collectively by HI. If the candidate is a resident in the country, a local package will be offered.
