Job Overview: The Program Coordinator for the Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery (PBID) project in Kenya will play a crucial role in supporting the project's operational excellence and execution of quality standards. This position is integral to the successful delivery of vaccines through pharmacies, aiming to reach nearly 1 million people, primarily women and girls. The coordinator will provide comprehensive administrative and operational support, liaising with various PSI teams and partners to ensure compliance with program objectives. The role includes managing project initiatives, financial health, and operational execution, while also contributing to the overall mission of expanding vaccine access across Africa.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Program Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
Providing moderate financial management support, such as assisting with budget management, monitoring labor trackers, preparing and tracking small budgets, reconciling expenses, and managing subawards.
Ensuring smooth operational execution by monitoring agreement modifications, workplans, and deliverables.
Conducting regular site visits to collect data and monitor project activities, ensuring data quality.
Coordinating periodic project reporting and detailed activity planning.
Producing monthly update reports and disseminating lessons learned to partners and the PSI team.
Supporting demand generation activities and campaigns against set timelines.
Providing routine administrative support, including coordinating meetings, note-taking, and travel arrangements.
Assisting with knowledge management activities and drafting communications materials.

Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an Associate degree (or international equivalent) in a related field, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred. A minimum of four years of related experience is required for those with a Bachelor’s degree, while six years of experience is necessary for those with an Associate degree. Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in MS Office applications, excellent organizational skills, and strong quantitative skills are essential. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and manage diverse workstreams efficiently.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes an Associate degree in a relevant field, with a preference for candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree. The focus should be on disciplines related to public health, project management, or a similar area that supports the functions of the role.
Experience: The position requires at least four years of relevant experience for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or six years for those with an Associate degree.
