Job Overview:
The Associate will be part of the Hepatitis Country Support Team, focusing on the implementation and scale-up of CHAI’s hepatitis programs in Sub-Saharan Africa. This role involves providing technical and operational support to countries, ensuring effective execution of programs, and facilitating collaboration between global and country-level efforts. The Associate will analyze country-level progress and challenges, share insights, and help refine strategies based on evolving needs. The position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical and communication skills, who can work independently while collaborating effectively with various stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic guidance and planning support to countries (30%): Assist country teams in developing strategies and work plans aligned with CHAI's global strategy, build relationships for input on country strategies, monitor program progress, and develop funding proposals.
  • Provide technical support and bandwidth to country programs (40%): Offer ongoing technical guidance across various areas such as policy, financing, and service delivery, design high-quality deliverables, and share best practices among country programs.
  • Provide coordination support across global and country programs (15%): Facilitate collaboration and knowledge-sharing, support cross-country work streams, and assist in internal and external reporting.
  • Support cross-cutting global work streams (15%): Participate in strategy planning, draft program materials, and represent CHAI at regional forums.

Required Qualifications:
  • At least 4 years of experience in a collaborative and results-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis.
  • Strategic thinking ability to assess challenges and develop effective strategies.
  • Problem-solving expertise with strong critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Effective time and priority management skills.
  • High attention to detail in delivering quality work.
  • Adaptability and relationship-building skills in diverse environments.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.

Educational Background:
