Job Overview: The Assistant for Responsible Campus Services will play a crucial role in enhancing mobility services across CERN’s campuses, which serve up to 10,000 individuals daily. This position requires a strong focus on sustainability and the ability to monitor large-scale service contracts effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing third-party service contracts related to mobility services, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The role also involves collaborating with various stakeholders to improve the efficiency and user satisfaction of mobility services, contributing to CERN's environmental goals, and supporting the planning and execution of investments in mobility solutions as outlined in CERN's Mobility plan and environmental objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Assistant for Responsible Campus Services include:
Supporting mobility services by assisting in the oversight of third-party service contracts such as shuttles, e-bike sharing, car sharing, and fleet management.
Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and conducting regular analysis, controls, and reporting, including statistical reporting and book-closing activities.
Collaborating with external and internal parties to ensure effective communication and preparation of materials.
Contributing to the streamlining of procedures and proposing methods to increase efficiency.
Driving innovation and sustainability by fostering a culture of continuous improvement to enhance mobility services.
Participating in working groups related to the technical domain or sub-domain.
Supporting the planning and execution of investments to enhance mobility as defined in CERN's Mobility plan.
Contributing to pilot projects aimed at improving the environmental impact of mobility solutions.
Collaborating on other campus services activities as required.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for this position include a technical certificate or general secondary education, or equivalent relevant experience in administration or a related field. Candidates should have demonstrated experience as a service provider, particularly in overseeing contractual relationships and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Experience in supporting transportation services or fleet management is considered an asset, as is experience in continuous improvement or LEAN management methodologies. Technical competencies required include customer service, proficiency in office software packages, organization, planning and control, and process analysis and improvement using continuous improvement methodologies.
Educational Background: Candidates should possess a technical certificate or general secondary education, or equivalent relevant experience in the field of administration or a related area. This educational background is essential for understanding the administrative and operational aspects of the role.
Experience: The position requires demonstrated experience in service provision, particularly in managing contractual relationships and ensuring compliance with SLAs. Experience in transportation services or fleet management is advantageous, as is familiarity with continuous improvement practices or LEAN management methodologies. The candidate should have a proven track record of delivering efficient services and improving mobility solutions within a community context.
