Job Overview: The Institutional Partnerships Senior Officer for Nordics is a pivotal role within the Institutional Funding Division (DFI) of Humanity & Inclusion. This position is responsible for leading the mobilization of funding from Nordic donors, which includes countries such as the Netherlands and Scandinavian nations. The officer will develop and implement an institutional partnership strategy, manage donor relationships, and ensure compliance with donor regulations. The role also involves supporting advocacy efforts and contributing to the overall strategy of Humanity & Inclusion. The officer will work closely with internal stakeholders and report to the Head of Institutional Partnerships North Europe, ensuring that the organization meets its funding goals and adheres to donor requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Institutional Partnerships Senior Officer for Nordics will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including:
Developing and implementing an institutional partnership strategy and multi-year action plan for the donor portfolio, which includes key donors such as BUZA, Dutch MOFA, NORAD, LEGO, SIDA, WDF, and BVL F.
Managing relationships with donors, ensuring effective communication and representation of Humanity & Inclusion at various platforms and events.
Supporting business development by identifying funding opportunities, assisting in project framing, proposal writing, and coordinating with operations staff.
Ensuring compliance with donor regulations by disseminating knowledge and providing training to internal teams.
Supporting contract implementation by advising project staff on donor regulations and monitoring financial aspects of contracts.
Maintaining accurate records and updates on donor information and contracts.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of 4 years of higher education in a relevant field or equivalent experience. They should have in-depth knowledge of project cycle management and MEAL tools, as well as basic financial management skills. A strong understanding of disability-related themes is also essential. Additionally, candidates must be fluent in French, Dutch, and English, with proficiency in other languages considered an asset.
Educational Background: The position requires candidates to have completed at least 4 years of higher education in a field relevant to the job. This educational background should provide a solid foundation in project management, financial oversight, and understanding of the humanitarian and development sectors.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience managing funding and/or development/emergency aid projects, either abroad or at NGO headquarters. Experience in team leadership and working within a matrix organization is also required. Familiarity with funding mechanisms specific to the Netherlands and Scandinavian countries is essential, along with knowledge of EU and Belgian funding instruments being a strong asset.
Languages: Fluency in French, Dutch, and English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages is considered advantageous and may enhance the candidate's ability to engage with a broader range of stakeholders.
Additional Notes: This is a full-time position with a permanent contract, requiring 38 hours of work per week. The role is based in Brussels, Belgium, and offers a comprehensive remuneration package that includes a gross monthly salary, a 13th month salary, restaurant vouchers, hospitalization insurance, and group insurance.
