Job Overview:
The Knowledge Transfer Officer position at CERN is designed for individuals who are passionate about bridging scientific research with industrial applications. The successful candidate will join the Knowledge Transfer Group, which is responsible for identifying and realizing opportunities to leverage CERN's technological advancements beyond particle physics. This includes initiating and managing partnerships with various entities, promoting CERN's technologies, and contributing to the development of communication and marketing strategies. The position requires a proactive approach to exploring synergies between CERN's technologies and sectors such as healthcare, ensuring that the impact of CERN's research extends into practical applications that benefit society.

Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Knowledge Transfer Officer, your responsibilities will include scouting CERN departments to identify applicable technologies, assessing their societal impact, and proposing dissemination strategies. You will promote CERN's technologies to external partners, contribute to marketing initiatives, and build relationships with stakeholders across industry and academia. Additionally, you will secure funding for collaborative R&D projects, structure and negotiate knowledge transfer agreements, and manage a technology portfolio. Your role will also involve reviewing group processes and introducing software tools to enhance operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree or equivalent experience in CERN's technical domains, ideally complemented by higher education in business, innovation, or technology transfer. A strong background in business development and industrial partnerships in high-tech environments is essential. Experience in innovation management, project management with multiple stakeholders, and contract negotiation is also required. Familiarity with healthcare or accelerator technologies is considered an asset.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, physics, business administration, or technology transfer. Additional qualifications in innovation management or related disciplines will be advantageous.

Experience:
The position requires significant experience in business development, particularly in creating industrial partnerships within high-tech sectors. Candidates should have a proven track record in managing complex technology partnerships, including collaborative R&D and consultancy projects. Experience in negotiating contracts and managing projects with diverse stakeholders is crucial for success in this role.

Languages:
Fluency in spoken and written English at a minimum C1 level is mandatory, as the role involves drafting publications and making presentations. Knowledge of additional languages from CERN's Member or Associate Member States is advantageous and will enhance communication with a broader range of stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
This position is a limited duration contract for 5 years, with the possibility of applying for an indefinite position under certain conditions. The working hours are set at 40 hours per week, and the job grade is classified as 6-
