Job Overview:

Key duties include: conducting research on specific topics relevant to ECLAC's mission; preparing briefs and reports that summarize findings and provide insights; updating and maintaining socio-economic databases to ensure accurate and current information; assisting in the organization and implementation of activities such as seminars, workshops, and conferences, which may involve logistical support and coordination; collaborating with other team members on projects and initiatives; and participating in meetings and discussions to gain a deeper understanding of the organization's work and objectives.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must meet specific educational requirements to be eligible for the internship. The basic education required is a high school diploma. Additionally, applicants must fulfill one of the following criteria: (a) be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent); (b) be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher). While professional work experience is not mandatory for applicants to the UN Internship Programme, a field of study closely related to the internship is required. Candidates must also provide proof of their academic status as part of the application process.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this internship includes being a student in the final year of a first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), or being enrolled in or having completed a Master’s or Ph.D. program.
