Job Overview: The consultant position is part of a project aimed at developing inclusive educational systems, specifically targeting the improvement of learning for students with disabilities. The consultant will be responsible for creating a comprehensive document that identifies trends and analyzes the use of inclusive technologies, including digital, accessible, and assistive technologies, as well as artificial intelligence, to eliminate educational barriers for individuals with disabilities. This role is crucial in contributing to the XXI Ibero-American Cooperation Days organized by the Ministry of Education of Spain and UNESCO, which will focus on inclusive educational practices and the integration of technology in education. The consultant will engage with various stakeholders, including education ministries across Latin America, to gather insights and foster discussions that will enhance inclusive education policies and practices.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will undertake several key tasks, including:
Developing a methodological proposal for the document that outlines the trends and analysis of inclusive technologies and artificial intelligence in education.
Establishing a conceptual framework for analyzing the incorporation of these technologies into educational practices for students with disabilities.
Conducting a global trend analysis regarding inclusive technologies and their application in educational settings.
Mapping and gathering information on the advancements in inclusive technologies and the use of artificial intelligence across the 19 member countries of the RIINEE (Ibero-American Network for Cooperation in Education for Persons with Special Educational Needs).
Compiling a comprehensive document that includes an introduction, trend analysis, identification of best practices, and conclusions regarding the use of inclusive technologies and AI in education.
Presenting the findings at the XXI Ibero-American Cooperation Days in the second semester of 2026, facilitating discussions and knowledge sharing among education representatives.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (master's or equivalent) in fields such as computer science, education, social sciences, communication, or related areas. Additionally, candidates should have a strong understanding of inclusive education practices and the role of technology in enhancing educational access for students with disabilities. Excellent writing and research skills are essential, along with the ability to analyze and synthesize information from diverse sources.
Educational Background: The position requires an advanced university degree, preferably a master's degree or equivalent, in relevant fields such as computer science, education, social sciences, communication, or other related disciplines. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of inclusive education and the integration of technology in educational settings.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of four to seven years of relevant experience in educational research within Latin America, particularly focusing on technology and artificial intelligence as they relate to students with disabilities. Experience in writing technical reports on these subjects is also required, demonstrating the candidate's ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, given the regional focus of the position and the need to communicate effectively with stakeholders in Latin America. Proficiency in English is also desirable, as it may be necessary for engaging with international partners and accessing global research and resources.
Additional Notes: The contract for this consultancy is set for a duration of three months, with a level 2 - Middle contract classification.
