Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies to optimize supply chain operations.
Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods and services.
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments to forecast supply needs.
Assist in the negotiation of contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and prepare reports for management review.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of logistics and procurement activities with organizational goals.

Participate in audits and assessments of procurement activities to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Required Qualifications:
Strong understanding of logistics and procurement principles.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
Familiarity with procurement software and tools is an advantage.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in French and English.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in procurement or logistics management would be considered an asset.
Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in logistics, procurement, or supply chain management is required. Experience working in a similar role within the non-profit or international development sector is preferred.
Languages: Fluency in French is mandatory, and proficiency in English is highly desirable. Knowledge of local languages spoken in the Democratic Republic of Congo is a plus.
