Job Overview:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide support services that contribute to the implementation of the Multi-Year Resilience Program II - EDUCATION CANNOT WAIT, in alignment with NRC's programmatic strategy in the Western region of Colombia. The support services are responsible for developing strategies in language and mathematics, utilizing the ATAL strategy, and reinforcing coexistence manuals. Additionally, the role involves integrating a gender-transformative approach and ensuring the inclusion of individuals with disabilities. The project aims to enhance the resilience of the educational ecosystem to guarantee the right to quality education for children and adolescents affected by armed conflict and migration. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure effective project implementation and beneficiary engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The general responsibilities include ensuring adherence to NRC's policies, tools, manuals, and guidelines, preparing and developing status reports as required by management, maintaining proper documentation, and promoting ideas to strengthen support functions. Specific responsibilities involve coordinating with the team leader to conduct educational censuses and actively identifying project beneficiaries through community initiatives. The role also includes validating pre-registration lists, conducting project socialization meetings with beneficiaries, supporting educational needs assessments, organizing beneficiary documentation for participation in activities, and executing academic processes in basic, secondary, and higher education according to the pedagogical plan. Furthermore, the position entails developing educational workshops focused on enhancing educational processes, defining plans for incorporating targeted populations into the program, and contributing to the dissemination of educational pathways and key messages promoting the right to education. Compliance with monitoring and evaluation tools is also essential, along with participation in training sessions related to NRC's education program.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be recent graduates or in their final semesters of a university degree in education sciences (such as Language, Biology-Chemistry, Mathematics, or Social Sciences) or hold a Normalista Superior qualification with proven experience in education. The position requires experience in support functions within humanitarian contexts, previous work in complex and changing environments, and demonstrable experience related to the responsibilities of the role. Specific skills and knowledge include experience in educational processes for children, youth, and adults in emergency situations, familiarity with flexible educational models, and the ability to implement pedagogical strategies that strengthen basic educational competencies with a differential and inclusive approach. Knowledge of the humanitarian context and sensitivity to vulnerable populations are also important.

Educational Background:
A university degree in education sciences or a related field is required. Candidates should have a strong understanding of educational methodologies and practices, particularly in contexts of humanitarian aid and emergency situations. A Normalista Superior qualification is also acceptable, provided the candidate has relevant experience in education.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of one year of experience in implementing educational projects, particularly in emergency contexts. Candidates should have experience working with diverse populations, including children, youth, and adults, and demonstrate a solid understanding of educational needs in these groups. Experience in the region and knowledge of the local humanitarian context are highly valued.

Languages:
Proficiency in Spanish is mandatory, as the role involves direct communication with beneficiaries and stakeholders. Knowledge of English or other languages may be considered an asset but is not required.
