Job Overview:
The position of Junior Project Manager for the Eigenmaßnahme Digital Democracy for All is situated within the competence center focusing on Democracy, Digital Governance, and Urban Development. The role involves contributing to the design and implementation of innovative services and consulting offers in the field of digital democracy. The project aims to develop evidence-based concepts and innovative consulting services for promoting and protecting democracy in the digital space. The Junior Project Manager will work closely with partner countries and contribute to building partnerships and cooperation, as well as engaging in thematic development and discussions through various events.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Junior Project Manager will be responsible for several key tasks, including:
  • Assisting in the content design and implementation of the Eigenmaßnahme, focusing on innovative service and consulting offers related to democracy in the digital realm.
  • Supporting project managers in daily operations and general project management tasks.
  • Aiding in the establishment and maintenance of networks and partnerships, as well as managing relationships with internal and external partners involved in the project.
  • Contributing to internal and external communication efforts and helping to design various event formats such as workshops, webinars, expert discussions, and panel discussions.
  • Assisting in knowledge management, including documenting lessons learned and policy recommendations, and preparing portfolio overviews.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a completed university degree (Master's or Diploma) in political or social sciences, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security or peace studies, with a focus on digital transformation topics such as Digital Governance, Cyber Security, AI Governance, or digital administration. They should have initial experience in the area of digital democracy protection and promotion, evidenced by internships or other professional activities. Strong knowledge of current trends and debates in Digital Governance, as well as an understanding of the national and global stakeholder landscape, is essential. Candidates should also have initial experience in stakeholder engagement, event organization, and communication, along with high organizational, communication, and networking skills, as well as strong teamwork, responsibility, and initiative. Proficiency in both German and English is required.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master's or equivalent degree in relevant fields such as political science, social sciences, security studies, or peace studies, with a specific emphasis on digital transformation and governance.

Experience:
Candidates should have initial professional experience in the field of digital democracy, which can be demonstrated through internships or relevant job roles. Experience in stakeholder engagement and event organization is also beneficial.

Languages:
Fluency in German and English is mandatory for this position. Additional language skills, particularly in languages relevant to (South) Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, the Balkans, or Central Asia, would be advantageous but are not required.
