Job Overview:
The position of Responsable de Pôle Audits Bailleurs Publics involves leading a team responsible for conducting audits of public funders. The role requires a strategic approach to ensure that audits are thorough, transparent, and adhere to international standards. The successful candidate will be expected to develop audit plans, oversee the execution of audits, and ensure that findings are communicated effectively to stakeholders. Additionally, the role includes providing guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies. The candidate will also be involved in capacity building initiatives, helping to train and mentor junior auditors and stakeholders in audit practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the audit team, ensuring effective planning and execution of audits of public funders.
  • Develop and implement audit methodologies and procedures in line with international standards.
  • Review and analyze audit findings, preparing comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
  • Communicate audit results and recommendations to relevant parties, including government officials and funding agencies.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior auditors and stakeholders on audit practices and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with other departments and external partners to enhance audit processes and outcomes.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations and best practices in public sector auditing.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures throughout the audit process.
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes related to audit activities.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in public sector auditing or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of international auditing standards and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in audit software and tools.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, public administration, or a related field is required. A master's degree or professional certification (such as CPA, CIA, or equivalent) is preferred and will be considered an asset.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in public sector auditing or a similar role is required. Experience in managing audit teams and conducting audits of public funders is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory. Proficiency in English is considered a strong asset, and knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
