Job Overview:
The Strategy Advisor position is a critical role within the organization, aimed at enhancing strategic planning and implementation processes. The advisor will be responsible for providing expert guidance on policy formulation, strategic initiatives, and program development. This role requires a deep understanding of the organization's goals and the ability to align them with national and regional priorities. The advisor will work closely with senior management and stakeholders to ensure that strategies are effectively communicated and executed. The position demands a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation within the organization's strategic framework, as well as the ability to analyze complex data and trends to inform decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the organization's mission and objectives.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure cohesive strategy development and execution.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of current policies and programs to identify areas for enhancement.
  • Provide recommendations based on research and data analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to engage stakeholders in the strategic planning process.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies and make necessary adjustments.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about global trends and best practices in strategic planning and policy development.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, policy development, or program management within an international context.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.

Educational Background:
A Master's degree in international relations, public policy, business administration, or a related field is required. A PhD or equivalent advanced degree is preferred and may be considered an asset.

Experience:
A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in strategic planning, policy analysis, or program management is required. Experience working with international organizations or in a governmental context is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in additional UN languages, such as French or Spanish, is considered an asset and will be advantageous for the role.
