Duties and Responsibilities: The Online Volunteer will be responsible for conducting comprehensive desk research on various topics related to local governance, local development, innovation, digital transformation, and capacity building. Key responsibilities include synthesizing research findings into clear and actionable insights, preparing analytical briefs and summaries of research outcomes, supporting the development of project and programme proposals through evidence-based research, generating innovative ideas and recommendations based on research findings, and participating in virtual team meetings to provide regular progress updates via email. The volunteer will also be expected to submit assignments and deliverables electronically and will receive a certificate of completion upon successful assignment fulfillment.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Online Volunteer position should possess strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise formats. Familiarity with local governance and development issues, as well as experience in conducting desk research, is highly desirable. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Additionally, candidates should be comfortable working independently and managing their time effectively in a remote work environment.
