Job Overview:
The intern will play a crucial role in supporting UNICEF's Private Sector Engagement efforts, which involve mobilizing financial resources, innovation, and influencing policies related to children's rights. The intern will be responsible for conducting research, maintaining lists of potential partners, and supporting outreach efforts. This position requires collaboration with various teams within UNICEF to prepare pitch materials and coordinate events aimed at engaging high-value prospects and donors. The intern will also assist with administrative tasks related to partner management and maintain documentation and records.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research for partner engagement and identify new partnership opportunities.
  • Request due diligence from UNICEF's Corporate Research Unit.
  • Maintain a list of potential partners and track outreach efforts.
  • Keep records of Country Office focal points responsible for managing the Business Advisory Board (BAC).
  • Support the review of investment cases in collaboration with the Programme coordination-team" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Coordination Team.
  • Document best practices for business engagement for outreach purposes.
  • Act as a liaison with ECA Programme teams to prepare pitch materials.
  • Coordinate responses for selected high-value prospect events, including business fairs and donor conferences.
  • Develop monitoring reports for the ECA High-Value Fundraising manager. 1
  • Assist with general administrative tasks related to partner management, including scheduling and filing. 1
  • Support the maintenance of SharePoint and intranet pages.

Required Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in or graduated from a graduate or undergraduate program in international relations, political or social sciences, human rights, sustainability, communications, or related fields.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Excellent academic performance demonstrated through recent university records.
  • Fluency in English is required; working proficiency in Russian is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Office is required; knowledge of MS Teams, SharePoint, and document design tools is desired.
  • Must be eligible to live in Istanbul for the internship duration.
  • No immediate relatives working in any UNICEF office and no relatives in the line of authority.

Educational Background:
Candidates must be currently enrolled in or have graduated from a relevant degree program within the past two years. Fields of study include international relations, political or social sciences, human rights, sustainability, communications, or related areas.

Experience:
While prior professional experience is not mandatory, additional consideration will be given to candidates with relevant past experience in similar roles or fields. The internship is designed for individuals who are looking to gain practical experience in private sector engagement and child rights advocacy.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, while working proficiency in Russian is highly advantageous. Knowledge of additional languages may be beneficial but is not required.

Additional Notes:
This internship is available only to applicants who can legally reside in Türkiye for the full duration of the internship. Candidates must have valid health insurance covering the entire internship period. Selected candidates will be required to confirm their fully vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 with a WHO-endorsed vaccine. The internship is subject to rigorous reference and background checks, including verification of academic credentials and employment history.
