Job Overview: The RPA Specialist position at UNICEF GSSC involves working on the optimization and automation of processes, development, and maintenance of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions. The role requires collaboration with various sections within GSSC and other stakeholders to ensure optimal business solutions. The specialist will be responsible for developing automation based on documented business requirements, creating 'bot' procedures, and maintaining relevant documentation in the RPA library. The position also includes mentoring RPA early adopters, providing ongoing support, and performing daily maintenance of automation processes in the production environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop automation solutions based on documented business requirements and create 'bot' procedures.
Maintain all relevant documents in the RPA library.
Participate in functional testing of automation processes.
Collaborate with business units to document changes to current practices and assist in process re-engineering efforts.
Mentor and coach RPA early adopters in best practices and create awareness about RPA capabilities.
Provide ongoing support for process changes, defect fixes, software upgrades, and performance tuning.
Conduct peer reviews of automated procedures to ensure compliance with internal control and audit requirements.
Act as level 3 support for RPA owners when issues arise in the robot environment.
Manage incidents and perform daily maintenance of automation processes in the production environment.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of secondary education (high school diploma) is a minimum requirement, supplemented with university-level courses in system engineering, programming, or automation.
A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in IT and business processes is required if candidates completed secondary education.
A completed university degree from an accredited institution will count toward the minimum work experience requirements.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in process automation and programming is required.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, AutoIt Script, Powershell, VB script, SQL, and similar is required.
Knowledge of RPA platforms is an asset.
Good knowledge of MS Office applications and ERP systems such as SAP is required.
Educational Background: Candidates must have completed secondary education (high school diploma) as a minimum requirement. University-level courses in system engineering, programming, or automation are considered an asset. A completed university degree from an accredited institution will be counted toward the minimum work experience requirements, with one year of completed education equating to one year of relevant work experience for fully completed degrees only.
Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in IT and business processes if they have completed secondary education. If they possess a completed university degree, this will count toward the minimum work experience requirements. Additionally, a minimum of 3 years of experience specifically in process automation and programming is required.
Languages: Fluency in English is required for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language, such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish, is considered an asset.

Applicants must be nationals of Hungary or EU/Schengen countries or possess a valid long-term Hungarian residence and work permit. Temporary and/or sponsored visas are not accepted. The position offers a tax-free annual net base salary starting at HUF 957,635 per month, along with benefits such as 18 days of annual leave, parental leave, dependency allowance, medical insurance, pension plan, and access to professional development programs.
