Job Overview:
The Reintegration Assistant will play a crucial role in the Migrant Protection, Return and Reintegration Programme for Sub-Saharan Africa (MPRR-SSA), which aims to provide protection and assistance to migrants along the Atlantic/Western and Central Mediterranean Migration Routes. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of the project in Kolda, assisting in the reintegration process of returnees from various countries, and collaborating with the project team to implement various reintegration initiatives. This position requires a proactive approach to managing statistical data, supporting returnees in accessing reintegration assistance, and ensuring compliance with the organization's internal procedures. The role also involves coordination with relevant authorities and stakeholders to facilitate effective migrant assistance operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the reintegration process of returnees from European and African countries.
  • Provide general assistance to the Senior Project Assistant and the project team in the development and implementation of listening and speaking sessions and reintegration projects, including individual, collective, and community initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain a statistical table with continuous updates on returns under monitoring.
  • Communicate monthly statistical tables to hierarchy for follow-up on service charges, including proposals to resolve inconsistencies on the MiMOSA platform.
  • Support the supervisor and procurement unit in obtaining pro forma invoices from potential suppliers.
  • Assist returnees in obtaining reintegration assistance.
  • Support the supervisor in carrying out administrative, financial, and procurement tasks related to reintegration assistance in accordance with the organization's internal procedures.
  • Create and maintain a filing system for receipts and records, ensuring they are verified, filed, and updated.
  • Assist in coordinating migrant assistance operations with relevant authorities, partners, and service providers. 1
  • Conduct periodic field visits to assist in setting up and monitoring projects for Senegalese returnees. 1
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned within the Unit.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in law, sociology, or a related field from a recognized academic institution, with three (3) years of relevant experience in return and reintegration; or a certificate of completion of secondary education with five (5) years of professional experience in related fields. - Proven experience in effectively assisting actions with other implementing partners. - Professional experience in the application of migration, cooperation, and development knowledge in the context of an international organization is an asset. - Good knowledge of information technology and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and SharePoint.

Educational Background:
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in law, sociology, or a related field from a recognized academic institution. Alternatively, candidates with a certificate of completion of secondary education and five years of professional experience in related fields will also be considered. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has the necessary theoretical knowledge and understanding of the complexities involved in migration and reintegration processes.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of three years of relevant experience in the field of return and reintegration if they hold a Bachelor's degree. Those with a secondary education certificate must have five years of professional experience in related fields. Experience in collaborating with other implementing partners and a solid understanding of migration, cooperation, and development within an international organization context will be highly advantageous. Familiarity with the operational aspects of reintegration programs and the ability to manage statistical data effectively are also important.

Languages:
Fluency in English and French is mandatory, as these are the primary languages used in the organization and the region. Knowledge of local languages spoken in Senegal would be considered an asset, as it would enhance communication with returnees and local stakeholders.
