Job Overview: The Finance & Budget Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Finance/Budget Officers in the preparation and management of budgets and financial statements. This position involves assisting in the preparation of budget proposals, extracting and analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The assistant will also be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and providing administrative support to the finance team. Duties and Responsibilities: The Finance & Budget Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: assisting in the preparation of budget documents, supporting the extraction and analysis of financial data, consolidating data for budget reviews, preparing financial reports, recording and reconciling accounting transactions, examining financial transactions for accuracy, and maintaining communication with various UN offices.
