Job Overview:
The internship program at the ILO is designed to provide practical experience in the field of fair recruitment and labor migration. Interns will be part of the team implementing the Integrated Program for Fair Recruitment, Phase III (FAIR III), which focuses on promoting fair recruitment practices in migration corridors across Africa and the Middle East. Interns will gain insights into the ILO's institutional coordination mechanisms, enhance their technical knowledge on decent work for migrant workers, and learn how to communicate effectively on these issues. The internship does not guarantee employment at the ILO upon completion, and candidates are encouraged to apply for a maximum of three internship profiles during the application period.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will assist in various tasks including the production and dissemination of technical materials such as studies, guidelines, and policy analyses. They will support capacity-building activities and contribute to the documentation of best practices and lessons learned from the project. Interns will also help monitor the project's progress, collect data, and prepare reports. Additionally, they will assist in organizing workshops and seminars, develop stakeholder databases, and contribute to the visibility and communication of project results. Interns are expected to dedicate 10-20% of their time to administrative tasks and will work under the supervision of the ILO director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director and the National Project Coordinator.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team. They should be able to work in a multicultural environment and demonstrate sensitivity to gender equality. Technical knowledge of digital communication platforms is considered an asset. Candidates should also have a keen interest in labor migration and fair recruitment issues.

Educational Background:
Candidates should be pursuing or have recently completed a graduate degree in political or social sciences, economics, law, development studies, international relations, communication, or a related field. They must be in their final year of study or have completed their degree within the last year.

Experience:
Relevant professional experience or knowledge of labor migration and human trafficking issues, including communication, will be considered an asset. Interns should be eager to learn and engage with various stakeholders in the field of fair recruitment and labor rights.

Languages:
Fluency in French, both written and spoken, is required. A good command of English is considered an asset, as it will facilitate communication with international colleagues and stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
The internship is unpaid, but interns will receive a monthly allowance based on the cost of living in Côte d'Ivoire, unless they receive funding from another institution. Interns are responsible for their travel expenses to the internship location. The ILO does not cover any medical or accident insurance costs during the internship, and candidates must ensure they have adequate coverage. The ILO does not charge any fees during the recruitment process and advises candidates to be cautious of fraudulent communications.
