Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that have a direct impact on the lives of children and youth globally, particularly in the context of results-based financing.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including conducting country scoping research to identify educational challenges and opportunities for results-based financing. They will perform detailed data analysis to understand educational shortcomings and advise donors on effective strategies for generating social returns. Additionally, interns will engage in program design by researching provider and investor markets, preparing workshops for government officials, and participating in the development of new financing programs in sectors such as Basic Education and Early Childhood. Research projects will also be a key component of the role, focusing on current developments in results-based financing and the education sector, as well as preparing briefs on strategies and policies of international donor agencies.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be enrolled in a degree program at an undergraduate or graduate level or be recent graduates (within the last two years). They should demonstrate excellent academic performance and be at least 18 years old. Fluency in English is mandatory, and candidates must not have immediate relatives working in any UNICEF office or in the line of authority that the intern will report to. Desirable qualifications include a degree in a relevant field such as economics, business, political science, finance, education, or international development, along with experience or interest in international development and the global education sector. Proficiency in additional languages such as French, Spanish, or Arabic is also desirable.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this internship includes being currently enrolled in or having recently graduated from a degree program in a relevant field. This could encompass areas such as economics, business, political science, finance, education, or international development. Candidates should have a strong academic record that reflects their capabilities and commitment to the field.

Experience:
