Job Overview:
The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the National Project Manager and collaborating with national and international specialists to ensure the effective planning and implementation of project activities. The incumbent will be responsible for developing detailed work plans, conducting weekly progress reports, and facilitating monthly reporting meetings with partners. The position requires strong local coordination and implementation skills at the soum level, ensuring that all project activities align with FAO's strategic objectives. The role also involves engaging with local stakeholders to foster partnerships and enhance project visibility through communication and awareness-raising efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Coordinator will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities including: supporting the National Project Manager in planning and executing project activities; ensuring timely implementation of project tasks at the soum level; assisting in research by collecting and analyzing primary and secondary data; organizing project discussions, workshops, trainings, and field trips; coordinating communication between local stakeholders; performing daily administrative tasks such as documentation and reporting; tracking progress related to the Monitoring and Evaluation plan; and contributing to communication efforts through social media and other channels. The role may also involve additional duties as requested by the project manager or FAO Representative.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be nationals of Mongolia and possess a university degree in agriculture, environment, or a closely related field. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in government, project management, or with international organizations is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a working knowledge of English at level C and possess strong competencies in results focus, teamwork, communication, building effective relationships, and knowledge sharing.

Educational Background:
A university degree in agriculture, environment, or a closely related field is required for this position. The FAO only considers higher educational qualifications obtained from institutions accredited or recognized in the World Higher Education Database (WHED).

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant fields such as government, project management, or working with international organizations. This experience should demonstrate the candidate's ability to manage projects effectively and work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Languages:
