Job Overview:
The Corporate Fundraising Associate (GS6) will work under the supervision of the Fundraising Manager (P-3) to support the implementation and execution of activities related to corporate alliances and individual giving. This role is crucial for ensuring timely results that align with UNICEF's standards and regulations. The associate will assist in monitoring financial and non-financial agreements with the private sector and support the individual fundraising area by providing assistance in planning, monitoring, and evaluation to enhance performance management of face-to-face (F2F) campaigns. The position also involves logistical support for UNICEF Business Advisory Council meetings and administrative support for the Corporate Alliances Section, contributing to the overall fundraising strategy and objectives outlined in the new Cooperation Programme 2023-2027.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the monitoring of financial and non-financial agreements with the private sector, ensuring alignment with UNICEF's mission and objectives.
  • Assist in the planning, monitoring, and evaluation of individual fundraising efforts, focusing on improving performance management of F2F campaigns.
  • Conduct close supervision and monitoring of F2F agencies and fundraisers to ensure timely decision-making and quality results in donor acquisition.
  • Provide logistical support for UNICEF Business Advisory Council meetings, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating communication and media strategies for corporate partnerships and individual giving.
  • Provide administrative support for the Corporate Alliances Section, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with UNICEF standards.

Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of secondary education is required, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to social responsibility, fundraising, communications, media, social media, journalism, marketing, and/or public relations.
  • A university degree (bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in social responsibility and social communication will be considered an asset.
  • At least 6 years of relevant work experience in social responsibility, social communication, communication, media, fundraising, and/or marketing.
  • Experience working for communication-related work units or cross-functional teams is an asset.
  • A bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution in a relevant field may replace three years of related work experience, while a master’s degree may replace an additional two years.

Educational Background:
The position requires completion of secondary education, ideally supplemented by relevant technical or university courses. A bachelor’s degree in social responsibility and social communication is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's qualifications for the role.

Experience:
Candidates must have at least 6 years of relevant work experience in fields such as social responsibility, social communication, communication, media, fundraising, and/or marketing. Experience with Child Rights Organizations and international or government organizations, including UN Agencies, is desirable. A bachelor’s degree may substitute for three years of experience, while a master’s degree may substitute for an additional two years.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, while proficiency in English is required, with fluency being desirable. This language requirement is essential for effective communication within the organization and with external partners.
