Job Overview:
The Project Manager will oversee the implementation of two significant projects: 'Human Rights for All' (HR4All) and '4th Funding Round of UNPRPD - Leave no one behind.' The HR4All project aims to enhance the protection of human rights in Georgia, aligning with international obligations and national priorities. The Project Manager will work under the guidance of the Democratic Governance Team Leader, ensuring effective delivery of project activities, compliance with UNDP guidelines, and fostering partnerships with various stakeholders. The role requires strong leadership, communication, analytical, and planning skills to address complex development issues and promote inclusive solutions that leave no one behind.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Implementation of Programme Results: Manage day-to-day project activities, coordinate with implementing partners, ensure compliance with UNDP guidelines, manage financial resources, and facilitate results-based implementation of project activities.
  • Reporting, Monitoring, and Evaluation: Monitor project activities, assess programmatic impact, manage project risks, prepare progress reports, and ensure timely submission of financial and activity reports to UNDP and stakeholders.
  • Liaison and Partnerships: Build strategic partnerships with government, civil society, and private sector stakeholders, support resource mobilization, and maintain relationships with donor partners.
  • Knowledge Building and Management: Provide advisory services, identify best practices, and contribute to knowledge networks and learning strategies for stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
  • Education: A Master's degree in Law, Public International Law, or International Human Rights Law is required. A Bachelor's degree with an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a Master's degree.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree or 4 years with a Bachelor's degree in human rights project design, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Skills: Project management, financial management, risk management, partnership management, innovation, communication, operational efficiency, and team building are essential skills for this role.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree or equivalent in Law, Public International Law, or International Human Rights Law. A Bachelor's degree with additional relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a Master's degree.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience for candidates with a Master's degree or 4 years for those with a Bachelor's degree. Experience in human rights-related projects, project management, and coordination is essential.

Languages:
Proficiency in English and Georgian is mandatory, both written and spoken. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset.

The Project Manager will be based in Tbilisi and will report to the Democratic Governance Team Leader. The position is full-time and involves working closely with various stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of human rights projects.
