Job Overview: The Analyst, Revenue Operations will work under the supervision of the Revenue Manager to ensure the accurate recording, analysis, and reporting of donations and cash receipts. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of MSF's financial assets, ensuring that all accounting records are kept up to date and reconciled accurately. The Analyst will also be responsible for ensuring that revenue recognition aligns with US GAAP standards, which is essential for maintaining compliance and transparency in financial reporting. The position requires a proactive approach to financial management, with a focus on timely and accurate reporting to support the organization's mission and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate accounting records and files in accordance with statutory requirements and local policies to ensure audit readiness.
Set, analyze, and monitor budgets in alignment with organizational strategy, identifying financial trends and variances.
Design, develop, and implement treasury strategies and operations to optimize cash flow and financial resources.
Develop financial guidelines and protocols to meet statutory and financial requirements, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
Adhere to operational compliance by following internal policies and procedures, as well as regulatory codes, to minimize business risks.
Engage in organizational risk management by tracking the organization's risk profile and implementing measures to limit exposure to undue risks.
Contribute to the production of statutory and non-statutory financial reports through detailed analyses.
Assist in the development and delivery of financial policies and guidelines to ensure adherence to regulations and best practices.
Provide technical guidance and support to team members in planning, organizing, and prioritizing activities to meet business objectives efficiently.
Required Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey financial information clearly.
Problem-solving skills to navigate complex financial scenarios effectively.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required. A master's degree or professional certification (such as CPA or CFA) is preferred and may enhance the candidate's qualifications for the role.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related field. Experience in the non-profit sector or with international organizations is a plus, as it provides valuable context for the financial operations of MSF-USA.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in additional languages, particularly French or Spanish, is considered an asset and may be beneficial for communication within the organization and with international partners.
