Job Overview:
The ISA Data Officer position is newly created to enhance the management and dissemination of security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security and safety-related information within the framework of the Inter OD security Agreement (ISA). This role is crucial for improving the collection, analysis, and dissemination of security data, which has become increasingly important in recent years. The Data Officer will work closely with the ISA team and report directly to the SIMM/ISA Information Manager, collaborating with key staff across all Operational Centres of MSF. The position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting technical issues, analyzing data, and developing insightful reports that will support decision-making processes for operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- System Management: The Data Officer will support the field and headquarters with technical problems related to the Sindy tool, troubleshoot and resolve bugs, manage projects and tickets with the vendor, and document processes including training materials.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Responsibilities include ensuring the confidentiality of information within Sindy, supporting data collection and visualization, maintaining existing reports, and creating new reports. The Data Officer will also facilitate the linkage between Sindy and other platforms such as GeoApp.
- Supporting IKM Capacity for ISA: The role involves providing support to intersectional mission sites, ensuring proper access control, organizing content, and fostering smooth collaboration. Additionally, the Data Officer will develop guidance documents and tools to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong technical skills, particularly in data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel and Power BI. Experience with system management and troubleshooting is essential. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment. A strong understanding of security management principles and practices is also required.
Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as information technology, data science, or a related discipline is required. Additional certifications in data analysis or project management would be advantageous.
Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in data management, analysis, and reporting. Experience working in humanitarian or international development contexts is preferred, as is familiarity with security management frameworks.
Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, while proficiency in French or Spanish would be considered an asset. Strong written and verbal communication skills in the required languages are essential for effective collaboration and reporting.

This position offers a permanent contract at 100% and is expected to start in January 202
