Job Overview: The Finance Associate – Treasury Operations position at UNRWA is crucial for managing the financial operations related to treasury functions. Duties and Responsibilities: The Finance Associate will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: assisting in bank transfer payments for local and international transactions, maintaining banking templates and records, managing cash imprest funds, preparing cash receipts vouchers, and ensuring timely deposits of cash and checks. The role also involves preparing and uploading payrolls for different staff categories, reviewing bank reconciliations, responding to queries from staff and suppliers, and preparing payments tracking reports. The Finance Associate will be responsible for monitoring outstanding items on bank statements, assisting in the field office cash requirements, and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor. This position requires a proactive approach to financial management and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree from an accredited institution in accountancy, finance, business administration, or a related discipline. A minimum of two years of experience in a finance department of a governmental, international, or large commercial organization is required, with a focus on cash management and disbursements. Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access is essential, along with a valid driving license. Experience in banking and e-banking systems is desirable. Candidates should also demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to follow instructions and procedures effectively.
