Job Overview: The System Administrator position at Habitat for Humanity International is a critical role that focuses on supporting the technical infrastructure of HFHI’s global operations. This includes managing systems across three offices in the United States and four global offices, as well as scaling technology solutions to over seventy National Offices. Duties and Responsibilities: The System Administrator will be responsible for a variety of essential duties, including:
Supporting the global infrastructure environment for the organization, which constitutes 70% of the role.
Executing and operating Global Technology Standardization initiatives, including tenant and email consolidation, endpoint security (EDR/EPP), and migration from on-premises to cloud solutions, accounting for 15% of the responsibilities.
Performing system upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and monitoring, which makes up 10% of the duties.
Collaborating with the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure alignment with standards and principles, and maintaining input for the EA tool, representing 5% of the role.
Completing other related duties as assigned by the supervisor, which constitutes the remaining 5%.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of 5 years of IT experience with administration" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">system administration, including servers, applications, and databases.
At least 3 years of experience working with or in a nonprofit organization in a technology-related field.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field, such as endpoint security, security operations, networking, or development. Additionally, candidates should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, for effective daily interactions with staff and team members.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Alternatively, candidates may qualify through an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience in the IT field.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 5 years of IT experience specifically in system administration, which includes managing servers, applications, and databases. Additionally, candidates should have at least 3 years of experience working in a nonprofit organization within a technology-related capacity, as well as 2 years of experience in related fields such as endpoint security, security operations, networking, or development.
