Job Overview: The Partnerships, Communication, and Reporting (PCR) Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the WFP Bangladesh Country Office in achieving its strategic goals outlined in the Country Strategic Plan (2022-2026). Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate with the Head of Cox’s Bazar Area Office and various program units to prepare for donor missions, ensuring all logistical aspects are managed effectively.
Develop agendas for donor field visits and facilitate these visits to ensure a smooth experience for all parties involved.
Create high-quality briefing kits and donor intelligence materials for the Head of Area Office and relevant colleagues.
Collaborate with other UN agencies to advocate for WFP's programmatic needs and select appropriate camp sites in conjunction with relevant program units.
Support the communications team by providing visibility items from field missions.
Draft and coordinate partnership materials, including proposals and concept notes, to mobilize resources effectively.
Assist in preparing presentations for donor meetings and ensure they are tailored to the audience.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing partners and donors to foster collaboration.
Draft thank-you letters to donors on behalf of senior management, ensuring they contain up-to-date information. 1
Review and revise partnership correspondence and documentation, including donor visibility materials, to meet quality standards. 1
Address complex queries from donor partners and WFP regional/HQ/global offices, providing timely and accurate solutions. 1
Prepare materials such as donor matrices, meeting minutes, briefing notes, and proposals to support the PCR team's efforts.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency in drafting documents and preparing presentations is essential. Familiarity with resource mobilization strategies and donor relations is highly desirable.
