Job Overview:
The Senior Sprout Communications and Marketing Consultant will lead all communications and marketing efforts related to the Sprout Platform, a project under Mercy Corps AgriFin. This role requires a creative individual who can develop long-term initiatives and enhance the Sprout Platform's brand visibility among partners, online, and within the international development community. The consultant will be responsible for implementing the internal and external communications strategy, managing social media presence, and ensuring effective dissemination of information related to the Sprout Platform's activities and achievements. The consultant will also engage in research to understand targeted audiences and develop marketing strategies that resonate with them, ultimately aiming to improve the platform's outreach and impact.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will coordinate with the AgriFin Communications Lead to publish content on social media and the Sprout & AgriFin website, ensuring thematic continuity and enhancing online presence. Responsibilities include managing mailing lists and internal file storage systems, implementing communication strategies, drafting newsletters, documenting achievements, and developing marketing initiatives. The consultant will also streamline program reports, write and edit content for clarity and consistency, manage the design and development of branded materials, and prepare communications for learning products. Additionally, the consultant will monitor and manage content development processes, lead marketing efforts for FFO Market Research, and engage in other communications-related activities as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Communications, or related fields. A minimum of 20 years of professional experience in leadership, operations, communications, and strategic planning is required. Experience in agricultural marketing is advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in managing websites and social media, conducting independent data analysis, and producing public-facing communication materials. Strong written and oral communication skills in English are essential, along with the ability to work constructively in teams and collaborate with international organizations.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields such as Social Sciences, Development Studies, Communications, Social Psychology, Behavioral Economics, Micro-finance, Business Administration, ICT4D, Organizational Development, or Banking and Finance is required. Advanced degrees may be preferred but are not explicitly stated.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 20 years of professional experience in relevant fields, particularly in leadership, operations, communications, and strategic planning roles.
