Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for several key duties and responsibilities, including:
  • Project Implementation: Familiarizing with finance, human resources, procurement, and support functions in compliance with UNOPS policies.
  • Maintaining project records and relevant documents in internal systems.
  • Supporting the compilation and analysis of project data during quarterly assurance tasks.
  • Assisting in the preparation of project reports and updates.
  • Financial and Procurement Management: Ensuring eligibility of incoming project payment requests and compliance with UNOPS FRR and project agreements.
  • Compiling supporting documents for payment requests.
  • Raising requisitions for project procurements and preparing Receipt and Inspection Reports (RIR).
  • Collaborating with the Procurement team to facilitate project procurement activities.
  • Operational and Logistical Support: Handling routine project logistics functions and escalating issues to the supervisor. 1
  • Issuing equipment and supplies to project teams and maintaining updated inventory records. 1
  • Assisting in managing project assets and expendables per UNOPS’ Asset Management policy.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for this internship position include:
  • Recent graduation (within the last four years) in Finance, Management, Business/Public Administration, or a relevant discipline.
  • Strong computer literacy, including advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint/Google Slides, and Word/Google Docs.
  • Familiarity with general operations is an advantage, although no specific professional experience is required for this position.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have graduated in the past four years in relevant fields such as Finance, Management, Business/Public Administration, or other related disciplines.
