Job Overview:
The Grants and Compliance Accountant at Concern Worldwide US is responsible for providing comprehensive financial, accounting, compliance, and grant support services to meet the needs of the organization and its donors. This role involves close collaboration with various departments within Concern US, the affiliated organization in Ireland, and program staff overseas. The primary focus of the position is on pre and post-award accounting and compliance duties, which include supporting the proposal submission process, managing grant accounting and reporting, and providing analysis" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">financial analysis to support various programs. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Grants and Compliance Accountant will engage in a variety of duties, including but not limited to: assisting in pre-award activities such as reading proposal guidelines, preparing budgets and budget narratives, and monitoring regulatory compliance requirements; supporting field staff in the preparation of narrative reports; performing post-award activities including account creation in the ERP system, recording drawdowns, award revenues, expenses, payables, and receivables; reconciling accounts receivables and payables by award number; preparing quarterly federal financial reports (SF-425) for government and private funders; providing support to private fundraising teams regarding compliance and budgeting; conducting trainings for staff on US donor requirements; reviewing and assisting in re-budgeting requests; maintaining and updating grants financial records; and performing additional duties as assigned by the Manager, Grants and Compliance.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field that includes coursework in generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). A minimum of 3 years of grant accounting experience is required, with at least 2 years in US Government Award administration. Applicants should demonstrate knowledge of Federal regulations, including OMB Uniform Guidance and Cost Accounting Standards, and have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Excel, are essential, and experience with Oracle NetSuite is highly desirable. Excellent mathematical, analytical, communication, and organizational skills are also required, along with the ability to manage confidential information discreetly.
