Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the financial operations of UNOPS. Key responsibilities include:
Assisting in the review of supporting documentation for claims to determine eligibility.
Tabulating data for financial analysis related to claims and pending payments.
Verifying amounts to be liquidated against advance accounts.
Organizing information and documents for the verification process.
Performing calculations related to financial transactions, such as interest on late payments and taxes.
Preparing internal and external reports and presentations on claims and progress.
Organizing meetings with functional teams and external entities as directed by the supervisor.
Interacting with other teams to follow up on pending information requests.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have graduated within the last four years in fields such as Finance, Management, Business/Public Administration, or other relevant disciplines. Computer literacy is essential, with proficiency in tools like Advanced Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, Google Slides, and Word/Google Docs. While no specific professional experience is required, familiarity with financial information processing is advantageous. Fluency in English, both written and oral, is mandatory for effective communication in this role.
Educational Background: To qualify for this internship, candidates must have completed their degree in a relevant field within the last four years. This includes disciplines such as Finance, Management, Business/Public Administration, or similar areas.
