Job Overview:
The position is based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, where the Responsable Programme EHA (Eau, Hygiène et Assainissement) will ensure the relevance, quality, and design of EHA projects. The role involves planning and supervising the implementation of EHA programs, ensuring adherence to deadlines and technical specifications. The individual will support and oversee EHA activity leaders, monitor and evaluate implemented activities, and anticipate challenges related to EHA activities, facilitating problem resolution. The position also requires proposing adjustments to EHA activities based on evolving contexts and indicators. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plan and supervise the implementation of the EHA program, ensuring compliance with deadlines and technical specifications.
  • Support and oversee EHA activity leaders, monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of implemented activities.
  • Anticipate challenges related to EHA activities and facilitate problem resolution.
  • Propose adjustments to EHA activities based on evolving contexts and indicators.
  • Conduct rapid needs assessments in response to changing circumstances.
  • Ensure coordination with support services (logistics/admin) to address urgent needs promptly.
  • Supervise and coordinate EHA teams, ensuring the quality of interventions.
  • Manage the budget for projects and implement necessary modifications.
  • Develop new project proposals related to the EHA sector. 1
  • Maintain a focus on protection issues, particularly gender-based violence (GBV) risks.

Required Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Humanitarian Program Coordination, Project Management, or EHA.
  • Technical profile appreciated.
  • Experience in the humanitarian sector (0-2 years).
  • Experience in a similar position (3-4 years).
  • Strong technical skills in implementing EHA projects and operational monitoring of teams.
  • Ability to develop intervention strategies and plan EHA project activities.
  • Good communication and representation skills, particularly in urgent situations.

Educational Background:
A Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Humanitarian Program Coordination, Project Management, or EHA is required. Technical profiles are appreciated, indicating a strong foundation in the necessary skills and knowledge for the role.

Experience:
The position requires 0-2 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with 3-4 years of experience in a similar role being preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of EHA principles and practices, as well as experience in managing projects in challenging environments.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, and proficiency in English is considered a plus. The ability to communicate effectively in both languages is essential for collaboration and coordination with diverse stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
The position is a salaried role with a starting salary of EUR 2310 gross per month (2100€ base salary + 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly) and a monthly per diem of USD 75
  • Solidarity International covers housing costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's home country and the duty station. During the mission, a work and leave alternation system is implemented, allowing for 7 working days off every three months, with an additional day of rest for each month worked. Expatriates benefit from comprehensive health insurance covering medical expenses, including dental and ophthalmological care, as well as repatriation. The living conditions include accommodation in a guest house with individual rooms in a secure compound, internet access, and proximity to essential services. The office is located in a residential and calm area.
