  • The volunteer will play a significant role in enhancing the technical quality of programmatic work related to early childhood development and health. This includes focusing on immunization, maternal and child health, nutrition, parenting support, and early intervention for children with disabilities. The volunteer will also work on strengthening health systems, particularly in pediatric care and routine immunization, which is notably low in Montenegro. The role involves policy advocacy, capacity building, and the development of innovative services, including mobile applications for parents, to improve children's health and wellbeing.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The UN Volunteer will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including researching and analyzing political, social, and economic trends affecting early childhood development and health. They will prepare technical reports, collaborate with colleagues and partners, participate in meetings, and prepare minutes and reports. The volunteer will also undertake field visits, draft communication materials for advocacy, review data reports, facilitate communication within the ECD and Health Section, and support capacity development activities. Additionally, the volunteer is required to submit a comprehensive handover report upon completion of their assignment, detailing all relevant activities and outstanding tasks.

Required Qualifications:
