Job Overview:
The Grants Management Coordinator plays a crucial role under the management of the Head of oPt Operations. This position involves close collaboration with sectorial Technical Coordinators and the Regional Business Development Coordinator. The primary responsibilities include fundraising, grants management, and overseeing relevant aspects of project cycle management for DRC's programs in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt). The coordinator is expected to proactively identify fundraising opportunities, develop high-quality project proposals, maintain donor engagement, and ensure compliance with donor policies. This role is vital for the successful implementation of DRC's programs and requires a strategic approach to resource mobilization and stakeholder engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Grants Management Coordinator's duties encompass several key areas:
  • Fundraising: Collaborate with the Regional Business Coordinator and Technical Coordinators to identify resource mobilization opportunities, maintain donor engagement mapping, and develop high-quality project proposals.
  • Grants Management & Reporting: Update DRC’s Grants Management systems, lead the development of grants processes and systems, monitor compliance with donor obligations, and coordinate donor reporting processes.
  • Project Cycle Management: Schedule meetings for new grants, ensure project management tools are in place, and collect updates from strategic partners.
  • Capacity Sharing: Provide technical support to strategic partners in proposal development and reporting.
  • Additional tasks as agreed with the line manager.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess at least 5 years of experience in proposal, project, or program development, reporting, or grants management within an international non-governmental organization (INGO). A strong understanding of donor rules and regulations, particularly from US and European donors, EU funding mechanisms, and UN agencies, is essential. Proven experience in securing institutional donor funding and resource mobilization is required, along with experience in capacity building and training of national staff and local partners. Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to design and implement processes effectively and possess excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.

Educational Background:
A degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, International Development, or equivalent work experience is required for this position. The educational background should provide a solid foundation for understanding the complexities of humanitarian work and grants management.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field of proposal development, project management, or grants management, specifically within an INGO context. Candidates should have a proven track record of successfully applying for institutional donor funding and leading resource mobilization efforts. Experience in managing programs through local partners or in remote management settings is also highly valued.

Languages:
Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not explicitly required.

Additional Notes:
The contract length for this position is 6 months, with the possibility of extension depending on funding availability. The position is classified under the NoN - Management band (G1). The start date is as soon as possible, and the duty station will be either Ramallah or Amman. Salary and conditions will align with the Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for Expatriates or Nationals.
