Job Overview:
The Project Us Campaign Officer role is focused on enhancing engagement with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through workshops and actions within the third level, adult education, and community sectors. The officer will be responsible for designing and delivering educational programs that deepen understanding of development issues, including conflict, climate change, gender equality, and hunger. This position requires the ability to work unsocial hours and travel around Ireland, as well as a commitment to the values and goals of Concern. The successful candidate will also need to undergo Garda vetting and possess a full clean driver's license.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties of the Project Us Campaign Officer include designing and delivering workshops, webinars, and training sessions aimed at adult learners and youth organizations. The officer will manage the Concern Connect network, recruit members, and organize events to foster engagement. They will also be responsible for creating content for social media, reports, and press releases related to Project Us. Building and maintaining relationships with third-level organizations and community education sectors is crucial, as is supporting the Campaign team’s actions. The officer will also handle administrative tasks such as data management, event scheduling, and reporting on activities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have proven experience in campaigns, particularly with young people or similar groups. A minimum of two years’ experience in designing and facilitating workshops and training is essential. Applicants should demonstrate experience in developing knowledge of SDG-related issues and possess strong communication skills. Project management and event experience, along with proficiency in social media platforms, are also required. A passion for the values and goals of Concern, as well as knowledge of Agenda 2030, is necessary for this role.

Educational Background:
A degree in International Development, International Relations, Social Sciences, Youth and Community Work, or a related discipline is required. Alternatively, extensive equivalent experience in a relevant field may be considered.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience, particularly in designing and delivering educational programs or workshops. Experience in political engagement and knowledge of the international development sector is desirable but not mandatory.

Languages:
