Job Overview: The position of Executive Support to the Assistant Director-General (ADG) within the Division of Data, Analytics and Delivery for Impact (DDI) is crucial for ensuring the effective functioning of the ADG's office. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties of the Executive Support to the ADG include supporting the timely delivery of outputs, preparing communications between the ADGO and various departments, and liaising with staff at all levels. The incumbent will assist in the technical and programmatic content of work plans, monitor internal and external issues, and manage grant-related procedures. Specific responsibilities include coordinating with teams across the division, identifying risks to the execution of DDI's strategy, developing timelines and action plans, and leading outreach plans to communicate organizational changes. The role also involves defining success metrics for the division and ensuring the substantive technical preparation of briefings and consultations attended by the ADG. The incumbent will perform all other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced level university degree in international development, public health, social sciences, or a related field. An additional advanced degree in a relevant scientific, management, or policy-related field is desirable. Essential qualifications include a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in health administration, exposure at the international level, and experience providing executive support to senior decision-makers. Desirable qualifications include experience with technical subject matter, maintaining relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, and working in an executive office.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes an advanced level university degree in fields such as international development, public health, or social sciences. Candidates with an additional advanced degree in a relevant scientific, management, or policy-related field will be given preference. It is essential that candidates have their degrees from accredited institutions recognized in the World Higher Education Database (WHED).
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in health administration, with demonstrated exposure at the international level. Candidates should have experience providing executive support, including technical advice to senior-level decision-makers. Additional Notes: This position is subject to WHO Staff Regulations and Rules. The remuneration for the position starts at USD 77,326 annually, with additional benefits including a variable post adjustment, annual leave, allowances for dependent family members, home leave, and an education grant for dependent children.
